Angry Please Aid!! Locked my ONLY key in my 2013 A5 Cabriolet trunk this morning...

And so! I was attaching the plate to my new vehicle. I had opened the trunk while I was doing this and set the keys inside. Oops! DAMMIT! I airtight the trunk leaving the f***ing key in there.

I called a locksmith and 30 minutes he was hither using a bladder to reach in and pull the inside door latch. Door opened! YAY! But, the car alarm started going off.

I tried opening the glove box, which was now locked??? (Is this a security characteristic?) So I pried it open with a screwdriver (I HAD TO Await FOR THAT EMERGENCY KEY!) -- but the emergency key isn't at that place -- I bought the machine used and merely received the 1 key fob that is in the body.

Now I am trying to figure out how to disable the car warning immobilization stuff -- how can I do that without the central!?

And with the immobilization agile, it appears that the internal door locks volition not unlock the trunk!

Also, I accept tried to observe a way to get into the trunk via the dorsum seats, but it appears the only fashion to prepare the rear seatbacks down is through the trunk also!

So am I screwed or what? Delight! I cannot believe that I am the merely one who has had this happen to them.

I had to be at a courtroom engagement this morning. Then this is happening at the worst time in my life correct now. I'thou now three hours belatedly -- and I hope that a warrant isn't issued for my arrest. Double damn!!! FML!

Pull Out the fuse for horn/alarm, should requite you more fourth dimension to search.
Once the fourth dimension is not an issue, you tin can remove/unbolt rear seats from the within. First remove the lesser cushion to become to bracket in the centre.

I am i step ahead of you. I did endeavor doing this. I pulled out the fuse marked as "12 - Anti-theft warning system - 5 amp" in the manual. Guess what? When I pulled that, the alarm sounded! In that location must be another one that I am missing....

Any ideas?

I may just start to practise this. I pulled upward the seats and then I cracked the face surrounding the cup holders. I will demand to figure out how to work around those dang things and then figure out where the bolts are the for the seats.

There is supposed to be a feature that prevents. I know I did information technology once with my cab and I think the system chirped when I closed the body chapeau though buzzing through some of the threads below, at that place are situations where this can occur. Lamentable I did not read plenty to see how to resolve where you are at. Google and there are other web posts

And so later getting into your glove box, is your Valet push button lit upwardly? Unremarkably that would prevent the trunk from being opened using the push on the door. Unless the system automatically goes into valet mode when the warning is triggered every bit a security measure? I'g not actually sure on whether or not that's a feature.

There would exist no fashion for the glovebox to lock itself on the coupes since there's no power to the lock and it's all mechanical. I'd be shocked if the Cab was whatever dissimilar than the coupe in that regard.

Lamentable if this is totally unhelpful, but if the car has remote key access, would it not be able to start if the cardinal is in the trunk?

Nope, the valet light was not illuminated. I pressed it and information technology turned on and I immediately turned it dorsum off (to be sure that it was off!). And I am not sure about how the damn glove box was locked. I do see that there is a mechnical key slot on it, just my wife swears to me that she didn't lock it -- she said, "WHY WOULD I DO THAT?". I believe her, and I certainly didn't do information technology. So I am but assuming information technology'south another security measure for when the alarm is going off. And dammit! I am trying to rip out the rear seats now and it's looking like it is going to be a whole big ordeal to become them out. Shit, shit shit.....

On the brilliant side, the owner of the used car dealership I bought information technology from is a skilful friend and is on his way over with his main mechanic and they will aid me with the removal of the seats.

This is baroque. My 2022 will non allow the primal to be locked in the trunk. If I try to close the trunk with the fundamental inside, information technology just pops open up once more and again.

On my 2013 S5 Cab, there is no button for the body, and the glove compartment locks automatically when you lock the doors.

So the cabs must exist different than the coupes. I guess it's pretty absurd that the glovebox locks automatically since people may be parking information technology with the top downward. Absurd feature until information technology bites you in the ass like this.

Exercise the cab seats actually fold down similar the coupes do? My mom has an A5 cab, only I've never actually looked.

There are two latches inside the trunk that drop the dorsum seats; I assume information technology'south the same for the coupe?

Okay, I accept to say, near the glovebox, it was easy to pop open with a screwdriver. I did find that one of the plastic "grommets" that fit into the side panel and that the locking mechanism shoots into to "lock" the affair was missing. And information technology didn't pop out on me, I am sure of that. And then -- I wouldn't trust this as a very skillful protection of any valuable, or a spare fundamental -- like the plastic fundamental that was missing in my vehicle.

And so! To consummate this tale of woe -- I was able to make a quick fucking story of a solution! With a long magnetic pickup pole I quickly grabbed my keys by feeding the pole betwixt the two rear seats. Information technology was a bitch to pry open up the seats with a very large flathead screwdriver, though. And so I broke a sweat in the Florida sunday.... I suppose I was lucky that I placed the keys direct in the center of the torso instead of over to the side! And with the assistance of a very long prepare of pliers and my large flathead screwdriver prying the seats apart, I was able to recall the keys! OOOOH YEAH! Oh, the magic of having the right tools! AND I Will ALWAYS BE KEEPING MY TRUSTY MAGNETIC PICKUP POLE AROUND FOR THESE REASONS!!!

Here are some pics of the tools like to what I used:

Big flathead screwdriver

Magnetic pickup pole (mine was telescoping, and a fleck harder to use than this solid one, for sure!)

Huge needlenose pliers

I just needed to sit still and meditate a scrap earlier I finally figured out my programme of attack! HAHAH! Isn't it funny how that shit works? When you lot are hot and pissed off like I was and worried about getting where I needed to be, I just wasn't thinking absurd and calm and rationally.

At present, at that place is finally one bit of fixing that I'd like to practice with this vehicle.

1 -- I want to supervene upon the rear seats, the part that your butt goes onto that is so easy and light to pull. Are at that place any aftermarket or Audi parts that will fit in in that location that are relatively inexpensive?

2 -- The damned thing doesnt have bluetooth audio music from my phone, merely the phone calls part. Has anyone tried ane of these? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G38THN9...detail_2?psc=one Are they worth the extra money versus buying some shitty fucking radio interface? I desire to use the steering wheel to skip songs and have the song names pop up on the radio! I am not certain what radio I have in this affair, but I am pretty certain that anyone with a similar 2013 A5 who has this working could tell me if what this affair advertises will work in the year/model I have.

3 -- All of the electrical outlets including the cigarette lighter thing under the radio with the sliding lid over the ashtray is not working (the one in the armrest and the i behind the armrest/console facing the backseat). Which fuse is it? I've looked at the list of fuses from the the manual (which I have posted above ^^^^^) and I just cannot figure out which one I need to pull and change? Is information technology the one labeled Auxillary fuse (musical instrument panel)?

THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL YOUR Help TODAY! I Actually APPRECIATE Information technology! SO MANY GOOD IDEAS! I was about to pull the seats out, I'm very glad I didn't have to do that though. :-) ^5

Yes, but you can besides fold the rear seats down in the coupe from inside the cabin, not just from the trunk.

Solution for this problem, the key FOB locked in trunk 2022 Audi S5 Cabriolet.

The solution is if y'all can start the ignition button, and then Concur the top upward or down button then the top starts and the kicking embrace goes up to the nearly vertical position, then let go of the button and the kicking volition stay open and stationary. Go outside to the boot/pinnacle holding area and button the compartment bladder down, unremarkably one does this inside the torso, now in that location are two corners that allow you to place your arm inside the trunk and fish out the key FOB. If you cant reach yous tin can you some rod our device to move the side so you lot can achieve the keys. I did this and is t worked groovy.
